The Helmuth Mansion, Situate on the east side of Broad street between Christian and Carpenter streets Philadelphia. House facing towards 13th Street, a little south of east on the spot where now stands (1876) the southern end of the new "Rush Library." In front of this house at the close of the War of 1812. The soldiers were paid off and mustered out of Service. Demolished in 1869. Sketched July 10 1836 by D.J.Kennedy
