Residence of Thomas Jefferson in 1793. Who drew up the original document of the Declaration of Independence. Situate on the east side of the Schuylkill River Philadelphia. Below Grays Ferry and nearly opposite to Dr. Says. This sketch was made from one taken by Mr. Andrews in 1793 who was afterwards Assistant Cashier U.S Bank. 1794 General Harmer owned and occupied until his death in 1876 his son William Harmer Esq resides there, the building is now altered and much changed in appearance by the city Plan it would now be between 36th and 37th streets and Reed and Dickinson Sts.
