Chestnut Street, north side from ninth street west to the Markoe House built in 1808. Mrs. Corbin was married iin the second story front room in the fourth house form the corner of 9th Street on September 28th 1815 by Bishop White. Of late years all those houses have been altered for stores and in October, 1873 eight of those stores west of the markoe House were demolished also the two University buildings west side of ninth street between Chestnut and Market, preparitory to the erection of the new Post Office.
