Image: 1/9 plate; Head and shoulders of woman in dress with print, lace collar, and brooch wearing bonnet, with color applied to cheeks. Preserver: Straight and embossed with simple pattern (after 1850). Mat: Oval with matte finish and ornate (late 1850s). Case: Leather-covered wood-frame with pebbled finish (no embossing), with eggplant velvet pinchpad, red velvet cushion (not embossed) (late 1840s - early 50s).Inscription:
