Image: 1/6 plate; Seated woman and child; Woman wearing white bonnet, and lace collar, with watch chain, holding spectacles; Child wearing lace collar, appears cross-eyed. Preserver: Straight, narrow, embossed with simple pattern (after 1850). Mat: Double elliptical with matte surface (mid 1840s - mid 1850s). Case: Paper-covered wood-frame embossed with floral design on front and geometric design on back with gilded pattern on exterior and interior, red velvet pinchpad, eggplant velvet cushion embossed with a relatively uncommon patriotic eagle design (1850-60s).
