Image: 1/6 plate; Head and shoulders of a man wearing a high-collared jacket, vest, tie, shirt with a pleated bossom and and upturned shirt collar. Preserver: Straight, narrow, embossed with simple pattern (after 1850). Mat: Oval with sandy finish (late 1840s). Case: Half case, paper-covered wood-frame embossed with floral design, with red velvet pinchpad (1850-60s).
