Image: 1/6 plate; Man seated at a posing table, wearing a jacket, vest, and tie, with hair over his ears, holding a hat, color applied to his cheeks and the table cloth. Preserver: Straight but more ornate (1850s). Mat: Nonpariel with matte finish (mid 1840s to mid 1850s). Case: Paper-covered, wood-frame embossed with a scarce "Star of David 2" (Berg No. 4-92) design both front and back, with a red velvet pinchpad and a red velvet cushion embossed with a floral design (1850s-60s).Inscription:
