Image: 1/6 plate; Head and shoulders of a girl with ringlets seated on a chair, with bare shoulders, wearing a patterned dress, with color applied to her cheeks. Preserver: Straight but more ornate (1850s). Mat: Oval with matte finish (ca.1850). Case: Book-style leather-covered wood-frame with simple lined embossing [Possibly by H. A. Eichmeyer, as similar to Plate 41 p.43 of "American Miniature Case Art" by Floyd and Marion Rinhart (Cranbury, New Jersey: A. S. Barnes and Co., Inc., 1969). A brief biographical sketch of H. A. Eichmeyer on p.195] , interior and exterior gilded lines, with ornate hinged clasp, purple velvet pinchpad and plain ruby velvet cushion (1850).
