Image: 1/6 plate; Reproduction of a head and shoulders illustration of a woman with her hair pulled off her face, but one long curl draped over her shoulder from behind, wearing a dress with a low neckline, with color applied to hair accessories and dress. Preserver: Stiff & heavy (1847-50). Mat: Oval with matte finish and simple embossed design (1850). Case: Paper-covered wood-framed half case embossed with a geometric design, with a red velvet pinchpad (1850s-1860s).
