Image: 1/6 plate; Seated woman with arm resting on a cloth-covered posing table, hair parted in the center and covered with a white daycap, wearing a long-sleeved dark dress with a shortened waistline, a low panel of shirred gathers low at the waistfront, that extends in soft folds over the shoulders, cuffed at the wrist, with a small white collar closed by a brooch, and a ring on her finger. Preserver: [none]. Mat: Double elliptical, with sandy finish (mid 1840-50). Case: [none].
