Image: 1/16 plate; Head and shoulders of a boy with hair parted on one side, wearing a dark jacket with a white collar. Preserver: Fancier with inward points at the corners (after 1858). Mat: Oval with matte finish and ornate (late 1850s). Case: Paper covered wood frame embossed with a geometric design both front and back with a red fabric pinchpad and a red velvet cushion embossed with a floral design (1850-60s).
