Preserver: [none] (pre-1847).
Mat: Octagonal with pebble finish (1839-mid 40s).
Case: Leather covered wood frame embossed with a variation of Pretlove's common "The Delicate Roses, Variant" [Plate 123 p.117 of "American Miniature Case Art" by Floyd and Marion Rinhart (Cranbury, New Jersey: A. S. Barnes and Co., Inc., 1969)] on the front and back, with a red velvet pinchpad, and a rose red silk cushion (ca. 1844).
