Correspondence from Dora Kelly Lewis to: her mother, Mrs. Henry K. Kelly; daughter, Louise Lewis; and unamed Son. Dora Kelly Lewis served actively in the Suffrage movement and became an executive member of the National Women's Party in 1913. Many of these letters have been transcribed, and these transcriptions are available in the digital library record "Dora Kelly Lewis correspondence typed transciptions [1917-1918]."This digital record contains seventy-two images of tweny-nine letters all penned by Lewis. They record Lewis' cross-country travels to gain funding for the suffrage movement. One letter, dated November 14th, was written while Lewis was breifly detained in prison for her activism.
