Photograph depicts portrait of John Milton Lutz.  Lutz was a prominent businessman in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Lutz’s career in banking began as he helped organize the First National Bank of Clifton Heights and served as President of the bank.  In 1923, he served as the President of West Philadelphia Bank and saw the institution’s transformation when it expanded and changed its name to Bank and Trust Company of West Philadelphia. Later, the institution also went under another change as it transformed into Bankers Trust Company of Philadelphia at which point Lutz then became Senior Vice President. While his career was largely in banking, Lutz also served as a member of the Pennsylvania Assembly (1907-1908).
