Save me, O God;
for the waters are come in unto my soul.
I sink in deep mire,
where there is no standing:
I am come into deep waters,
where the floods overflow me.
I am weary with my crying;
my throat is dried:
Mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

The interpretation omits the fourth verse which refers to one's enemies, who hate without reason.

The text under the image discusses the 1.5 million European Jews liberated from "Nazi tyranny" and the money required to move them from Displaced Person camps to "Palestine, or some other hospitable land."  The fundraising campaign was a joint effort by the Joint Distribution Committee, United Palestine Appeal, and the United Service for New Americans.
